From Elearning
Photo-sharing tools allow people to easily share their photos online with large numbers of people, or even the general public, without needing to use email.

What is it?
Typical features include allowing comments or ratings on photos, grouping photos into sets or galleries for a particular topic or date, tagging photos with keywords, and sometimes restricting access to particular groups of viewers (known users, or people with a given password).
"Siblings" (similar tools)
Photo-sharing tools act like online versions of photo management software that you may have on your own computer, such as iPhoto or Picasa.
"Friends" (oft-combined tools)
Blogs Newsreaders (RSS readers)
What it is good for
Keeping a visual diary; reflective practice; sharing ideas with images rather than words. "Photo logging" (as opposed to more traditional blogging) can be a useful tool for those who are more comfortable, confident or interested in expressing themselves primarily visually rather than verbally.

How it works (briefly)
Take photos and upload them into the tool. Tell people (your class, your colleagues, your family etc) the address of the site so they can look at it. You may like to link to the site directly from your eLearning site or other website.
