Problem
- Getting students to work on their assessment tasks ahead of the due-date.
[edit]
Description
- Undergraduate students are frequently too inexperienced to understand the component steps to take or to judge the amount of work and time required to produce a good product. They may also lack time management skills.
[edit]
Solution
- Break the larger assessment task down into its component stages.
- Make these compulsory and award marks.
- Give feedback along the way.
- Through doing, students begin to understand what is required and to develop good study habits.
